This study was developed in collaboration with the Regional Conference on Migration (RCM). It presents a contextualization on the regularization programmes and processes in North America, Central America and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, it identifies the initiatives created for migratory regularization and their implementation in the countries of study, as well as their general characteristics and challenges for their management, such as facilitating migrants’ access to these programmes. Finally, this study analyses areas of opportunity and good practices for regularization in the region, and creates actionable recommendations for the phases of creation and implementation of regularization programmes and processes, the renewal of migratory categories and the integration of regularized migrants.
