This publication provides an overview of the main current patterns and corridors of extra-regional South-South migration. After presenting some data on the most recent trends in extra-regional migration, the publication highlights the possible consequences of extra-regional movements through examples of existing mobility between Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. Finally, some recommendations and good practices in research and at the policy level are outlined.
