The Mesoamerican Regional Program "Strengthening Capacities for Protection and Assistance to Migrants in Situations of Vulnerability" IOM, makes a series of efforts to improve the protection of rights and assistance to migrant children and women who migrate in vulnerable conditions, victims of trafficking and sexual violence, refugees and asylum-seekers, extra-continental and indigenous migrants, migrant LGBTI populations, among others. As part of these actions, the need arose to collect stories of migrant children and adolescents in the region that make this human drama visible, sensitize and invite reflection on the harsh situation faced by these people.
