This paper provides a comparative study carried out in Austria, Belgium, Italy and the United States. In it, is made a legal assessment on the implementation of the right of residence, as a means of protection for victims of trafficking and strengthening the processes of investigation and prosecution of traffickers. The study focuses on the analysis of the regulatory framework, the implementation of existing legislation and the systematization of experiences and legal developments of each country.
