In Mexico, various socio-economic and cultural factors, as well as certain geographical conditions and the very nature of the migration process, accentuate the risks of migrant populations to human trafficking in that country. This publication, in addition to examining this phenomenon, offers an approximation to the profile of victims, analyzes the institutional response to combat it and gathers the main experiences of IOM Mexico in the care of victims. The document also identifies challenges and recommendations for assistance to victims of human trafficking.
