Description
To support the newly created UATIM, IOM conducted a Train-the-Trainers workshop on Counter
Migrant-Smuggling for public servants from the National Migration Service (SNM) to train state officials
nationwide on this crime. Additionally, IOM provided technical and logistical support in the drafting and
joint review of the draft National Plan to Counter Migrant Smuggling in Panama, facilitating discussion
with institutions and organizations involved in the intervention matrix.
