This text constitutes an investigation carried out within the framework of the project "State of Migration Management in Central America: An Applied Research" and contains information concerning an assessment of the status of the migration administration of the Central American countries during the early years of 2000. The document emphasizes the analysis of the operational aspects of migration management and provides inputs for the modernization, strengthening and improvement of the migration agencies in the region.
