This summary provides an overview of IOM's activities through key statistics produced by the Organization, as an update to the overview contained in the World Migration Report 2011, where statistics for the period 2001–2010 were reported.

The document is based on contributions from the various IOM divisions and presents statistics covering the period January 2011–December 2015, where available. The summary also provides a comparison (where possible) of IOM’s statistics in relation to the wider context in which the Organization operates, based on available statistics from external sources.
